Dear lovers of wilderness! From the 1st to 15th of May 2016, the third qualifying expedition of Nature Protected Film School is held on the territory of the the Visherskiy Nature Reserve (the Northern Ural, Russia). We invite you to take part in it.

The purpose of the expedition is practical training of everybody who wishes to create a film about the wildlife in pristine taiga and mountain conditions in the spring time.

During the expedition, participants of Nature Protected Film School will do the following:
• Gain the experience in a trip to the pristine mountain-taiga areas of the Northern Ural in the most difficult, but most interesting and full of life spring season.
• Actively participate in all current work on the organization of the field life (arrangement of camp, putting up tents, firewood, cooking and so on).
• Under the guidance of Nature Protected Film School’s experts, shoot characteristic wildlife landscape, animals and sketches from their own field life.
• Assist in the collection of primary research materials that directly related to the subject of their film works.
• Upon returning from the field trip, sort and process the collected video materials, and, on their basis, learn to create non-fiction films about the wild, practice to create scripting, narration, to work with sound and video installation, living at the Visherskiy Nature Reserve’s town base.
• According to the results, the best participants of film crews will be invited to visit one of picturesque Russian nature reserves together with the heads of Nature Protected Film School.

The main objects for photo and video shooting in May: spring scenic landscapes of pristine taiga and mountains, pictures of rapidly awakening nature (spring flow streams and rivers, primroses, early insects); bears after leaving their dens, reindeers and elks (meetings are not guaranteed, but may happen); black grouse and western capercaillies in the mating tournaments; rock ptarmigans, displaying in beautiful breeding plumage; grouse and other animals.

The cost of participation in the expedition is 18 000 rubles (excluding road to Perm and back).
This amount includes payment for the transfer from Perm to the start point of the expedition on the territory of the nature reserve and back, accommodation and transport, rent of shooting equipment, the cost of food for the period of the expedition, and other operating expenses.

Requirements to the participants of the expedition:
• Age – 18 years old (16-17 years old boys and girls can participate with an elder member of their family);
• Absence of severe, acute and chronic diseases;
• Good physical training;
• Minimum travel experience;
• Psychological readiness patiently to endure inconveniences (regular freezing and getting wet nights in cramped tents or huts, and so on), long and inevitable in the spring field.
