The first in the world experimental beaver nursery was established in the Voronezhskiy Biosphere Nature Reserve in April 1932, and after a couple of years, furry beaver cubs appeared there. Grown animals were sent for resettlement in many regions of the Soviet Union. Hundred thousands of beavers living in Russia have Voronezh origin!
