We invite volunteers to the Polistovsky Nature Reserve located in Pskovskaya Oblast of Russia to assist our staff in organisation of ecological camps for schoolchildren.
The dates of our ecological camps:
• Spring Expedition – June 20-24, 2016.
• Environmental Camp “Holidays in Polistovye” will be held from May to August 2016 for children and adolescents who come on vacation to the village Tsevlo. In agreement with the head of the camp, you can work on weekends or stay for a longer period.
What you need to do? Depending on your knowledge and ability, you will carry out research work with schoolchildren on a variety of topics (e.g., on hydrobiology, botany, ornithology), to organize sports, tourist and environmental games, competitions, contests, workshops on making souvenirs, crafts and much more interesting things.
Basic requirements for volunteers: age of 18 +, higher education, or incomplete higher education, desire to work with children of different ages, as well as openness, creativity, energy, organisational and teamwork skills.
Terms of stay: accommodation in the village Tsevlo, at the nature reserve’s hotel, in double – six-bed rooms (a shared bathroom, hot water, and a kitchen).
In the village there is a shop, medical assistant’s point; there is a bus service to the district center Bezhanitsy located 35 kilometers from the village. Mobile communications – only Megafon, the nature reserve’s hotel has a WI-FI.
Your accommodation is at the expense of the reserve. Cooking will be done by volunteers.
While working in the environmental camp, volunteers can visit free excursions organised by the staff of the nature reserve and local people, take part in workshops on traditional crafts, to get acquainted with the amazing nature of bogs and history Polistovsky region.
