The winter qualifying expedition of the Visherskiy Nature Protected Film School was successfully finalised!

The second qualifying expedition of the Visherskiy Nature Protected Film School took place in the period from January 31 to February 15, 2016. In addition to the nature reserve employees, Alexey Shkurko, a television and radio videographer at KZN (Kazan, Russia) and Alexander Korolev, a journalist, Sport FM Perm radio presenter (Perm, Russia) took part in it.

Despite the hard ski tour and extreme weather conditions, the participants of the expedition could manage to collect some interesting video material about the life of wild animals.
Underwater shooting of the burbot spawning migration and video sketches from the life of otters at river air holes were doubtless successful achievements of this expedition.
We could shoot a sable by a professional video camera- it was happened for the first time since the existence of our nature reserve. The participants of the Film School were pleased with a common shrew.
Having left its winter refuge for larvae coming from the melting snow, this smart insectivorous small mammal had fun posing in front of our cameras.

The videos collected during this February expedition we are going to use for creating educational films about the nature of Russia.
The next qualifying expedition will be held in May 2016. We will inform you on it in the near future.
