We invite volunteers to the Polistovsky Nature Reserve (Russia), ready to work together with the staff in the spring-summer season 2016, and at the same time to know more about nature and culture of Polistovye.
Suggestions for volunteers this year are very diverse: it is cleaning surrounding areas, and construction of eco-trails, and carrying out geobotanical investigations, and even the opportunity to try yourself as a guide on the routes of the nature reserve.
For volunteers we have prepared an interesting educational program: excursions organized by the reserve, and author tours of local residents, during which you will be able to know more about amazing nature of raised bogs and history Polistovsky region, as well as master classes on traditional crafts.
Accommodation – at the expense of the nature reserve. Cooking is carried out by volunteers.
• Excursion program. The period of volunteer camps: May 2-22, May 16 – June 5, May 30 – June 19, June 13 – July 3, July 11-31, July 25 – August 14, 2016. Minimum staying at the volunteer camp – 3 weeks. It is necessary 2 volunteers for 1 shift.
• Garbage collection program. Period of volunteer camps: May23-27, 2016. It is needed 4 volunteers.
• Repairing eco-trail program. The period of volunteer camps: May 30 – June 10, July 4 – 15, 2016. For 1 shift it is necessary 4-5 volunteers.
• Geobotanical investigations program. The period of volunteer camps: 1st shift – 7-10 days; 2nd shift – 5-7 days (the exact dates will be announced closer to the field season). It is necessary 2-4 volunteers for 1 shift.
