160 Caspian seal skins. Sulak, Dagestan, Russia.

When the number of sturgeons dramatically decreases in the Caspian – and sturgeon species will be exterminated soon – poachers start hunting on Caspian seals. The local poachers have everything for this: powerful motors, boats, and the absence of any other work. Look closely at the “catch” seized by border guards in the Dagestan village of Sulak on May, 16. There are 2 or 3 sturgeons and more than one hundred and sixty seal skins there. And this is just the top of the iceberg. After the Caspian seal extermination (it will happen much sooner than the disappearing of sturgeon species, which are being still bred and protected), caps and hats from the Caspian seal fur will be worn for a long time.

Please, help to spread the petition about saving the Caspian seal!
