The information for those, who would like to work as volunteers in the Arctic, on White Island of the Kara Sea.
Volunteers for working on White Island will be selected from the participants of the Youth Forum “MORNING-2016”, which takes place in Nefteyugansk of Khanty-Mansiyskiy Autonomous Okrug on June 25-30, 2016.
Competition among its participants will be conducted in the following directions: “personal effectiveness”, “command performance,” and “Arctic idea”. You need to perform the required tasks of the Forum’s organizing committee, including physical fitness, endurance testing, team collaboration workshops, as well as to pass a personal interview with the experts, and much more.
The competition stages:
– a 3-minute’s video questioning, during which you will speak about yourself (about your abilities, skills, character and etc.) and what useful you can do for the expedition team;
– test of knowledge about the history of Arctic exploration, as well as volunteering in the Arctic region;
– evaluation of your skills in effective communication and team collaboration;
– training on interaction with other participants and members of the organising committee, which will take place in unusual circumstances.
Upon the first stage of this completion, Forum’s participants will be invited to become members of Green Arctic Youth Public Ecological Organisation, awarded by breast pins and membership cards, and their personal information will be entered into the database “Volunteers of the Arctic”.
After that, candidates will partake the second qualifying stage – participation in the training camp, which will be held on the territory of the Yamalo-Nenetskiy Autonomous Okrug on July 23-30, 2016.
Please note that the number of representatives from Russian regions is limited by quotas. Expected number of participants from all over Russia is 750 people.
